Winter Festival and Coso Blanco 2023

Salou will celebrate this year the Winter Festival normally, recovering one of its most massive events, the white arena, a confetti battle that will take place on February 4.

The program of events includes concerts by La Pegatina and Emlan on Friday, January 27 in the Envelat, and The Blue House on Saturday, January 28. The main day of the festival will be February 4, with the parade and the celebration of the Coso Blanco starting at 11 in the morning. During the parade, a contest will take place to choose the best costume, float and troupe.

The proclamation of the party will be led by Eva Soriano, who will kick off the party program on Thursday, January 27. Other events include the Nit d'Humor on Friday, January 27, the Youth Party with Danny Romero on January 27, the 80s and 90s Party on January 28, and a performance by Dàmaris Gelabert on January 31.

On February 2, the Collas Dance will be held with the Nueva Alaska orchestra and the Atabaladors de Salou, and the Gran Fiesta Disco Colles FM'23. The Envelat will offer several musical proposals every night of the party. On Saturday, January 28, the parade of popular elements will be held through various streets of the municipality, followed by the show-off dance in the Torre Vella de Salou.

Mayor Pere Granados will offer a welcome to Salou's entities and associations, on the occasion of the Festival, an act that will be enlivened by the musical group Blue Alley Quintet.

There will also be other cultural events throughout these holidays, such as the Maleïts Versots performance, the Maleïts Diables Ball, the Folk Dance, with the Sal-i-Ou Association, and the XIV Exhibition and workshops for young and old of the Network of Traditional Catalan Culture of Salou, among many others.

Coso Blanco Salou 2023: date, times and route

The Coso Blanco is one of the most massive acts of the Salou Winter Festival, and this year it will be held on Saturday, February 4. This event is a show-off parade that will take place starting at 11 in the morning and will continue with a parade and party in the afternoon, starting at 7 pm.

This edition of the Coso Blanco has 27 carts and will be held as normal.

The Coso Blanco is a tradition in Salou that dates back more than 30 years. The celebration consists of a parade of floats and troupes through the main streets of the city, with a wide variety of costumes and live music.

The parade is followed by thousands of people who wear white and throw confetti and streamers at the participants. The objective of the event is to create a party and fun atmosphere for the whole family.

He Coso Blanco parade route starts on the street Jaume I, continuing along Sant Pere street and ending at Jaume I avenue. During the parade, a contest will take place to choose the best costume, float and troupe.

Participants will be judged by a specialized jury based on creativity, originality and effort in making their costumes and floats. Winners will be announced at the end of the parade and will receive special prizes.

In addition to the Coso Blanco, and as we mentioned at the beginning, the program of events for the Salou Winter Festival includes concerts by La Pegatina, Emlan and La Casa Azul.
