Salou has returned from FITUR with good expectations for the 2023 season.

Salou also promoted its gastronomy in Madrid. Through the Municipal Tourism Board and the Department of Economic Dynamization, the capital of the Costa Daurada showed the best of its restoration, through the Association of Hotel Businessmen (AEH) of Salou, whose president is Pep Moreno. The event was attended by 15 restaurateurs and 8 establishments.

The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, met with different tour operators at FITUR, with whom he confirmed the good forecasts for the 2023 season.

He also had work sessions with the board of directors of the AMT Sol y Playa; and with the director of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the CEOE, Inmaculada Benito. With Mariana Oleskiv, President of Tourism Development Ukraine; and Pavlo Kukhta, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.

During the inauguration of FITUR, he met with the Minister of Business and Labor of the Generalitat, Roger Torrent, and with the representatives of the Tourist Alliance, made up of the municipalities of Cambrils, Reus, Salou and Vila-seca, as well as PortAventura, who agreed to highlight the notable influx of businessmen who confirm the consolidation and recovery of the sector, ahead of the 2023 season.

With the Alliance, it also agreed on the promotion program for this year. And as president of the AMT Sol y Playa, Granados presided over the sixth edition of the AMT Smart Destinations Awards within the framework of the #techYdestino forum of FITURTECHY. At the closing of the awards, he exchanged impressions with the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, who attended the event.

This year's edition of FITUR has been attended by 131 countries and more than 8,500 exhibitors.
